In Selecting our family’s company, you are selecting a company held in the highest regard within the funeral profession. Operating under the management of Michael and Rachel Butler since 1992, Ivan Butler Funerals was founded by Ivan and Coral Butler 1975.

Since this time, a trusted reputation has been established in all areas of funeral service and care.

We are aware that a funeral is a very personal event. With this in mind, our aim is to provide you with highest level of personal attention and professional service, which can satisfy those wishes of your loved one and your family.

At Ivan Butler Funerals, you are assigned a personal funeral consultant who is available to advise in all aspects of funeral service. From the first consultation whether in the privacy of your own home, or our conveniently located offices, your consultant will be there for you, to the final delivery of the funeral service. We are available to assist following the service also, through bereavement support, or the selection of a suitable memorial for your loved one.

IVan Butler Funerals | Pre-PaidThe Ivan Butler Pre-Paid Funeral Plan, allows you to plan for your funeral, according to your personal requirements. Our Plan relieves your family of any unnecessary confusion and financial burden regarding funeral expenses.

Decisions can be made logically and less emotionally about financial expenses, rather than at a time of grief. Under the current Pre-Paid Funerals Code of Practice Regulations 2011, all Pre-Paid monies are required to be invested with an approved funeral fund manager. A numbered Pre-Paid Funeral Contract is prepared, detailing your precise wishes and expenses involved, in order to facilitate provision for the contracted service.

The decision to Pre-Pay is of course yours, and you are under no obligation to do so. Alternitavely, you may consider Pre-Arranging your service.  This can be done in person with one of our consultants, by completing the 'Personal Wishes' section of our booklet, or by completing and submitting the 'My Wishes' page on this website..

An entire range of services that we facilitate on your behalf, are included in our Standard Service Fee as follows:
  • Facilities to effIBF entranceect the movement of the deceased to our mortuary at any hour
    (including public holidays at no extra charge).
  • Use of our chapel for viewing and/or identification of the deceased.
  • Qualified staff to attend to necessary hygienic preparation, care and dressing of the deceased.
  • Procurement of doctor’s certificates and processing of all paperwork to facilitate the registration of the death and, ordering of cremation permit and Death Certificate from Registrar as required.
  • Advice of death to Centrelink.
  • Preparation and insertion of all notices in the press (local, interstate or overseas).
  • Ordering of flowers for the funeral.IBF back door
  • Liaison with clergy or celebrant.
  • Arrange for musicians such as organist, singers, pipers etc as required.
  • Liaison with cemetery or crematorium.
  • Supply of a memorial book for mourners to sign.
  • Arrange for printing of memorial cards or hymn sheets as required.
